We locate, interview, and re-evaluate witnesses to uncover new information or clarify prior testimony.

A Specialized Commitment
Wrongful-conviction work is rarely about one missing document or one unanswered question. It often requires rebuilding a case from the ground up—locating people years later, comparing statements across time, reviewing records in context, and identifying what may have been overlooked, misunderstood, or never investigated.
Lexvico approaches each matter with independence, patience, and discipline. The objective is not to force a conclusion. It is to develop the most complete and reliable factual record possible, follow the evidence wherever it leads, and provide clear findings that help clients and legal teams understand what happened.

Every Victim Matters
Wrongful-conviction cases also remind us that there may be more than one victim. The person who was wrongfully incarcerated has lost time, freedom, relationships, and opportunities that cannot simply be restored. The victim of the original offense—and that person’s family—may also have been denied answers and meaningful resolution.
When an innocent person is convicted and the person responsible is never identified or held accountable, the original victim’s case remains unresolved. That is why this work must honor every life affected by the failure.
The wrongfully incarcerated person matters. The victim of the offense matters. Their families matter. The truth matters.
Lexvico’s commitment is to approach these cases with care, compassion, dignity, and respect for everyone whose life has been shaped by what the justice system got wrong.
